A: Most likely the pH was too high or the storage temperature was too warm. Phenylethyl Resorcinol slowly yellows under alkaline conditions (e.g., pH >7) or prolonged heat above 50°C. Keep the formula pH between 4.0–6.5 and store away from direct sunlight.
